The General Secretariat is in charge of the internal and external communication of the CSSF. This mission includes, among others, dealing with any questions regarding the CSSF's communication policy.

It is also responsible for the relations with other national and international institutions as well as with the professional associations.

In addition, the General Secretariat deals with questions in relation to financial education and consumer protection and those relating to microfinance and Islamic finance. The files concerning the qualification of activities of the financial sector also fall within the remit of the General Secretariat.
