Information Systems and Supervision of Support PFS (SYS)

The department "Information Systems and Supervision of Support PFS" is in charge of the supervision of the supervised entities' IT systems and of the supervision of support PFS that are authorised only as client communication agents, administrative agents of the financial sector, primary IT systems operators of the financial sector or secondary IT systems and communication networks operators of the financial sector in accordance with the law of 5 April 1993 on the financial sector, or that are cumulating these statuses.

 

This supervision mainly consists in auditing IT systems of the supervised institutions.

 

This assistance is done through on-site inspections, assessment of the IT section of the external and internal auditors’ reports addressed to the CSSF, as well as technical advice on specific issues.

 

The department may also provide advice or be in charge of any other mission concerning the internal IT system, IT security and national or international works related to IT.

 

Like the supervision of banks and other PFS, the supervision of support PFS is carried out based on periodical financial information to be transmitted to the CSSF, on the on-site inspections and on the analysis of the comments and assessments provided by the réviseurs d'entreprises agréés (approved statutory auditors) and internal auditors of support PFS.
