Money Market Funds (MMF)

Money Market Funds (MMFs) are governed by the Law of 17 December 2010 relating to undertakings for collective investment or the Law of 13 February 2007 relating to specialised investment funds (SIFs).

MMFs are subject to Regulation (EU) 2017/1131 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 June 2017 on money market funds.

An MMF shall be authorised only if the CSSF has approved the instruments of incorporation or the management regulations and the choice of the depositary.

For the standard obligations to which money market funds are subject, it is necessary to refer to the different headings of the UCITS, UCI and FIS categories under Investment vehicles and managers.

This section groups together the specific provisions that apply to MMFs.
