A société d’investissement en capital à risque (SICAR) is an investment company in risk capital governed by the Law of 15 June 2004 relating to the investment company in risk capital.

The CSSF’s prudential supervision aims to verify that SICARs subject to its supervision continuously observe all legal, regulatory and contractual provisions relating to their organisation and operation, with the objective to ensure investor protection and stability of the financial system.
