eDesk account creation and UCI approval information sessions

eDesk – Account creation

In the continuous effort of the CSSF to improve the timely interaction with the market place, the CSSF has launched its portal with its first module, namely “eDesk”.

In accordance with Circulars CSSF 19/721 and 19/725 published in July 2019, a number of requests to the CSSF will be progressively digitalised and will henceforth have to be made exclusively via the new eDesk Portal.

In order to help speeding up the creation of requests through eDesk when these requests are made available, the CSSF highly encourages all institutions, firms and concerned persons to create one or more eDesk accounts. Please refer to the “Authentication and user account management” user guide in the lower section of the eDesk Portal homepage (https://edesk.apps.cssf.lu/edesk-dashboard/homepage?lng=en) for further details.

eDesk/UCI approval – Planning and information sessions

The eDesk application for UCI approvals (UCITS, UCI Part II, SIF and SICAR) will be made available via the eDesk Portal on 1 October 2019.

However, during a transitional period ending on 31 October 2019, requests for UCI approval may be submitted:

  • via email or secured e-file channels using the current Excel dedicated form, or
  • via the eDesk dedicated application.

Please note that, as from 1 November 2019, the only possible channel will be eDesk.

To support this change, the CSSF organises information sessions of the eDesk application for UCI approvals. The target audience consists of applicants that will effectively fill out the requests in eDesk and for practical reasons, the attendance is limited to two representatives per concerned entity.

Please feel free to register, until 4 October 2019, to one of the 3 following sessions by filling out the attached form and by sending it per email to edesk@cssf.lu specifying “eDesk – Information session” in subject:

  • 10 October 2019 – 9am-10.30am,
  • 21 October 2019 – 12pm- 1.30pm,
  • 21 October 2019 – 2.30pm- 4pm.

On the day of the information session, access will be granted upon presentation of the confirmation you will receive by email.
