DORA – Submission timeframe for register of information for third-country branches of credit institutions having their head office in a third country
As indicated in the CSSF communiqué of 11 February 2026, with the publication of Q&A DORA102 – 3097 on the applicability of Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 (DORA) to third-country branches, the ESAs clarified that third-country branches of credit institutions having their head office in a third country, have to submit a register of information to the CSSF.
Given that this Q&A was published recently, in December last year, and that the 2026 collection is the first register collection for third-country branches, the CSSF has decided to extend the submission deadline to 30 June 2026 for these entities. Consequently, third-country branches are invited to submit their registers on a best effort basis, allowing these entities to adequately test the new reporting requirement and to ensure the required level of quality for the submission of 31 March 2027.
