New procedure “Internalised settlement reporting under Article 9 of CSDR” available since 1 July 2025

Pursuant to Article 9(1) of Regulation (EU) No 909/2014 of 23 July 2014 on improving securities settlement in the European Union and on central securities depositories (Central Securities Depositories Regulation, CSDR), settlement internalisers report quarterly to the competent authorities of their place of establishment the aggregated volume (i.e. number of transactions) and value of all securities transactions they settle outside a securities settlement system.

In the context of internalised settlement reporting, the CSSF allows entities to submit reporting either via eDesk or using an API solution based on the submission of a structured exchange file via the S3 protocol.

The new CSDR procedure includes the following form:

  • “Reporting by settlement internalisers in accordance with Article 9 of CSDR”
