Tied agents

Summary

    Alternative Investment Fund Managers based in Luxembourg and authorised to provide additional services (“AIFMs”) in accordance with Article 5(4) of the Law of 12 July 2013 on alternative investment fund managers (“AIFM Law”) that intend to use a tied agent established in Luxembourg, in another EU Member State or in another State party to the EEA Agreement in accordance with Article 18bis of the AIFM Law, are required to notify the CSSF. The relevant forms, which are available for download below under “Forms”, shall be sent to the CSSF via email to gfi@cssf.lu as well as to the agent responsible for the AIFM, if known.

    Similarly, AIFMs are required to notify the CSSF in writing of any changes to the initial notifications or the cessation of the use of a tied agent. The relevant form shall be sent to the CSSF via email to gfi@cssf.lu and to the agent responsible for the AIFM, if known.
