Situation globale des organismes de placement collectif à la fin du mois de juin 2026 (uniquement en anglais)
Communiqué de presse 26/16
I. Overall situation
As at 30 June 2026, the total net assets of undertakings for collective investment, comprising UCIs subject to the 2010 Law, specialised investment funds and SICARs, amounted to EUR 6,731.325 billion compared to EUR 6,634.393 billion as at 31 May 2026, i.e. an increase of 1.46% over one month. Over the last twelve months, the volume of net assets increased by 16.31%.
The Luxembourg UCI industry thus registered a positive variation amounting to EUR 96.932 billion in June. This increase represents the sum of positive net capital investments of EUR 23,846 billion (+0.36%) and of the positive development of financial markets amounting to EUR 73.086 billion (+1.10%).
The development of undertakings for collective investment is as follows:

The number of undertakings for collective investment taken into consideration totalled 2,968, against 2,981 the previous month. A total of 2,008 entities adopted an umbrella structure representing 12,308 sub-funds. Adding the 960 entities with a traditional UCI structure to that figure, a total of 13,268 fund units were active in the financial centre.
As regards the impact of financial markets on the main categories of undertakings for collective investment and the net capital investment in these UCIs, the following can be said for the month of June.
The main development was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the US and Iran, which led to a sharp decline in oil prices – returning to pre-conflict levels – and provided some relief on inflation expectations. The month also saw the successful initial public offering of SpaceX, the largest in history. Finally, hawkish statements by the Federal Reserve led to a significant appreciation of the US dollar against the euro. Against this backdrop, European equities reported significant monthly gains, supported by lower oil prices. US equities also reported monthly gains in euros, despite some consolidation, due to concerns over AI business models and following large gains in the previous months.
In June, equity UCI categories registered an overall positive capital investment, with the largest inflows in the categories US, Eastern European and Other equities, offset by outflows in the other categories.

During the month, bond markets benefitted from a fall in interest rates driven by easing inflation concerns, while credit spreads were stable. Short-term interest rates in the US however rose following a hawkish stance by the Fed on inflation after the first monetary policy meeting under chairman Kevin Walsh, during which rates were kept unchanged. In contrast, the ECB raised its deposit rate by 25 bps, as expected. All fixed income UCI categories recorded positive monthly returns, also supported by favourable currency movements.
In June, fixed income UCIs registered an overall positive net capital investment from all categories except for EUR money market and Emerging market bonds.
