Communiqué relatif aux notifications et dé-notifications de gestion avec un passeport européen pour les GFI domiciliés au Luxembourg – Modifications introduites par la directive AIFM II

The Law of 3 March 2026 has been adopted to transpose Directive (EU) 2024/927 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 March 2024 into Luxembourg laws. In this context, additional activities and/or functions and/or services have been introduced for UCITS management companies and authorised alternative investment fund managers.

In this context, the CSSF hereby informs the Luxembourg-domiciled supervised entities concerned of the publication on its website of updated templates of notification letters. The new templates are available on the CSSF website on the following pages: AIFM European passport and UCITS ManCo European passport.

The updated templates must be used for the notification of their management and marketing cross-border activities within the European Economic Area (EEA) as from tomorrow 31 July 2026.

The dedicated eDesk module for cross-border management notifications and de-notifications with a European passport (or equivalent CSSF API solution (S3 technology)) will also be updated as from tomorrow. Additional information and instructions on this module can be found in the dedicated user guide: IFM guidelines on cross-border management notification and de-notification procedures.

Finally, the CSSF reminds the supervised entities concerned that to pursue these new activities and/or functions and/or services in another Member State, the IFM should first be authorised by the CSSF to provide these new activities and/or functions and/or services in Luxembourg.
